The important topics for SSC CGL can be known by previous year question papers and candidates must pay special emphasis on these topics during the last month of preparation. The probability of questions coming from the important topics is much higher than the topics which are less common. This may increase the overall score of the candidate.
While preparing, make a separate notebook for all the important formulas and tricks and revise them on a regular basis. This tip proves to be the most useful during the last month of preparation. Check out, Section-Wise Preparation tips for SSC Exams
2. Solve Mock Tests & Previous Year Papers
The last few days before the exam date should be completely devoted to solving mock tests and previous year question papers. This will enhance your performance and also help you apprehend the difficulty level of the exam.
Solving SSC CGL mock tests will help candidates understand the type of questions asked and also the distribution of questions in each section.
The same benefit is of solving the SSC CGL previous year question papers as well. To understand the level of exam, exact exam pattern, important topics, etc. solving previous year question paper is the most important act to succeed.
4. Maintain a Balance Between Accuracy & Speed
SSC exams are all about time management. Solving more questions within a shorter duration of time and more efficiently should be the target of the candidate. Keep yourself calm while solving the paper as it will help you carefully read the question and then answer it.
Spending too much time on a question may cost a lot of time to the candidate. Hence, first, solve the questions you know and then revisit the ones you don’t.
5. Order of Attempting Questions
There is no particular order in which a candidate needs to answer the questions. So it is advised that the candidate follows a certain order to attempt the questions. You can either attempt the section that may be lengthy first and the easiest one in the end or vice-versa.
The order in which you tend to attempt questions makes a big difference in the overall performance. This decision shall be made wisely as it may change the ratio of marks scored.
6. Stress-Free Mind
Keep up to date with the SSC CGL Exam Date and reporting time. Always reach the exam centre with a stress-free mind and do not panic. This is suggested for any exam you tend to give. Always reach the exam venue with a positive approach and do not think of the result.
Solve questions with a peaceful mind as any amount of stress or panic may result in solving even the easiest questions wrongly. Make sure that you carry all the required documents including your admit card and identity proof to the exam centre as this may be another cause of stress. Ensure that you download your admit card the earliest possible so that in case of any error, the error can be rectified as soon as possible. Also, carry an extra pen to the exam centre so that in case one doesn’t work you can immediately use the other one. These are very small things but maybe the biggest cause of stress for any candidate at the last minute.
