Things to Consider before Applying for the SSC CGL

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate level exam for selecting staff for various Group B & Group C. The staff selection commission was established in 1975. This exam is a good opportunity for students who are looking for government jobs. As government jobs are helpful to build a stable career.

How to prepare for SSC CGL :
For Quantitative Aptitude –
1. Start with basics, Do Ncert of 5 to 10 class first, then move to above mentioned book
2. Daily solve at least 20-30 questions, solve variety of questions
3. Solve previous years question paper & mocks too
4. Learn and develop shortcuts
5. Create a notebook and write down all the important formulas & shortcut too
For General English:
- Read, Read and Read. Articles, Newspapers & Magazines are great sources . It is beneficial for developing vocabulary too.
- Install an app of dictionary which display new word everyday on notification
- Start with the basics of grammar. Learn all the important rules of grammar .
- Do at least 4-5 Rcs in a day
- Above mentioned books are really beneficial for general English
For General Awareness:
- Read ‘The Hindu’ newspaper daily
- Keep the resources minimum
- Practice as many mock as possible to improve static portion
- Go through current affair of last 1 year exam
For Reasoning:
- For blood relation , learn to make family tree
- Apply Venn diagram method for syllogism
- The more you understand the concept, the application will be easy.
