What does an RRB NTPC officer do?
RRB also known as the Railway Recruitment board has created a section inviting those applicants who would like apply for posts in the non-technical popular categories, which is known as NTPC. This position holds a vacancy of over 30,000 students. Of course, these positions are divided. For instance, they offer positions such as, junior clerk/typist, accounts, traffic assistant, goods guard, senior commercial/ticket clerk, station master and so on. Most of these positions are considered to be desk jobs.

Job profiles
- Junior clerk / Typist
This job position consists of assisting senior clerks. The most common job is data entry. In this job there are no shifts or suitable times, it is rather based on the requirement of your boss. It is also suitable for those who like to multitask and be engaged in more than one activity.
- Accounts clerk / Typist
This job position is responsible for keeping accounts of the firm. They ensure to do all internal verifications and transactions. They have transactions such as receipts, expenditures, claim settlements and so on. They also consist of various railway departments.
- Junior time keeper
A junior time keeper is some one who assists and arranges the movement of all trails whilst keeping track of the time. They also assist in recording the arrival and departure times of all trails. This position runs in shifts.
- Trains clerk
This job is responsible to ensure that there is a common record of all trains, conditions, as well as the number of coaches. They keep a track record of all trains.
- Commercial / ticket clerk
This job position is responsible to issue tickets through the CRS system, also known as the common of railway safety. They are also responsible for the UTS which was the unreserved ticketing system. They are most commonly responsible for the luggage tickets.
- Traffic assistant
A traffic assistant is trained and professional as traffic in charge or a signal in charge. The work with dedication and with various shifts.
- Good guards
This job position is designed to check the loose ends in the trains. They have to check all the technical things to ensure that the train won’t have any problems moving forward. They have to ensure to maintain combines train reports, late arrival reports and so on.
- Senior commercial / Ticket clerk
A senior commercial clerk usually works in the department of ticket booking offices. They are also responsible for commercial checking. But most importantly they have to ensure issuing tickets for passengers, luggage’s and goods.
