  1. What is SSC Exams?

The SSC Exams are conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India. The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. Established in 1975, it has been instrumental in selecting staff for various Group B and Group C posts. Every year, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) shortlists thousands of candidates for recruitment in various Group-B and -C posts available in different ministries/departments/organisations of Government of India. The commission recruits candidates through the various SSC exams conducted by it such as:

 3. How to prepare?

  • Analyse the Exam Pattern:

The first step of your preparation must begin with understanding the pattern and syllabus of the examination that you have registered for.

  • Build a study plan:

Nothing can be as fruitful as having a structured study plan. Creating a strategy and sticking to it is the key to ace the examination.

  • Practice Previous year papers and take up mock tests:

The number of mock tests is directly proportional to your performance in the main examination. Start taking up mock test and solve the previous year question papers to understand you strengths and weaknesses.

  • Evaluate yourself:

To check if you are on the right track is very important. And for the same a continuous evaluation of oneself is mandatory. It isn’t just enough to take up mock test but also strive to improve on it the next time.

6. Important tips for SSC exams:

  • Divide the 4 Subjects according to the 4 shifts in a day. E.g., practice Mathematics in the morning, English/Hindi in the afternoon, Reasoning in the evening and General Awareness at night.(this is just an example. you can set your subjects according to your convenience)
  • Make a target to study. Finish 1-2 chapters per day per topic. Try covering at least 4 topics from the reasoning section every day.
  • Refer to the study material to understand the core concepts of the logical reasoning section.
  • When starting your preparation for the day, revise the topics you covered on the previous day.
  • Avoid any kind of distraction during the exam. Try to avoid any kind of external distraction until the exam is over.
