RBI CLERICAL

RBI Clerk exam is conducted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to recruit candidates for the Assistant to its various branches all over the country. As it is a national level recruitment process, applications from all sections of India are invited. The exam is going to be conducted in three phases: Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The score of Mains Exam will be used to make the merit list of candidates being selected for the post of RBI Clerk.

RBI Clerk Exam will be conducted in three phases:

• Preliminary Exam

• Mains Exam

• Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

RBI Clerk has a specific syllabus for all the sections asked in both preliminary examination and mains examination. The major sections covered are:

• English Language

• Quantitative Aptitude and

• Reasoning

These above mentioned three sections are the common sections asked in both preliminary exam and mains exam. An additional section of General Awareness and Computer Knowledge is asked in Mains Exam apart from the above mentioned three sections. Penalty for Wrong Answers: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every answer attempted wrong by a candidate. No deduction will be made for the question left blank or unattempted by a candidate.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below. Candidate who are not proficient in the official/ Local Language will be disqualified.

The local language that are to be tested as per the official notification are given below:

Only such number of candidates will be called for Language Proficiency Test who stand sufficiently high in merit based on the aggregate marks of the main on-line examination, Such merit will be decided by the Bank in relation to the number of notified vacancies to be filled in.
